Tablinum posters
This is my tablinum poster. I thought this project was pretty interesting, I think we'll all be well versed in minimal spaces by the time this course is over, I guess its where the world is headed in terms of architecture and population etc.
The following is my Tablinum posters. I felt my ideas were underdeveloped, however given that we had a week, and one tute to do this project in it went alright.FYI: I wouldn't layout your sketches in a circular fashion, put it in the conventional left to right up to down fashion. Something I was told in critique.

Minima
Hey guys, the following is my minima project posters. Its been really good looking at all your projects as you only see 4 or 5 in the review. Its amazing how far we've all come from first year, got a long way yet. Anyway I began my minima concept based on my measurements and the area that I had chosen. I also looked around at some minimal architecture that had already been built. I began by taking a basic shape, and then creating voids to mould the interior space into a practical, usable and minimal space.
I ended up making my model out of perspex, although originally my plan was to create it out of wire and then have a sail type material stretches over it. I built the wire frame, although the sail idea looked shocking and was far more difficult to execute than anticipated. I find the model is always the challenges, as you can create any crazy outlandish design on paper, but when it comes to making the model its a bit of trial and error.
Sorry about my banter, I'll post the first project after this.

Minima - Tom Nalder
This assignment, whilst enjoyable, posed many challenges for us. Overall I was pleased with my final design which originated from an octagonal shape. I chose to make my model a dissection model so that that the full shape of the capsule could be visualised.

MINIMA
MINIMA
Initial ideas and concepts, to reduce spaces, allow movement and circulation and storage and there conjecture.
Taking the ideas above and developing them into an actual form in which to further develop
The final combination of the three ideas, using a double level design to minimize horizontal size. It works in a fan like system all accessories branching from a common point. the employment of a vertical shaft to minimize space for circulation.
Minima - concept and design
Here are my final posters for project 2. 'Minima'. Located on the water itself, my design was a collaboration of three existing minimal space environments: the igloo, the caravan and the tent. Appropriate features of each were considered and contributed to my final design concept. In the critique I was advised to consider the 'mechanics', or structure, of future projects more thoroughly.
